Engage in physical activity every day.

You need to be active 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week. You can be active all at one time (for 30 minutes) or in shorter intervals throughout the day. For example, you can take three breaks throughout the day to walk for at least 10 minutes.

Some effective forms of physical activity:

  • Walking quickly
  • Riding a bike
  • Dancing
